Island Moorings

Imagine that you are safely moored in clear water just off a beautiful island at sunset, surrounded by sea birds, striped bass—and, of course, your guests and crew. That dream can easily become a reality. And you can have it all in just a few minutes sail from the mainland.

Approximately 30 moorings serve the Boston Harbor Islands national park area. Located in safe anchorage just off Long, Peddocks, Gallops, Georges, and Rainsford Islands, these moorings are available at the following rates. Reservations are suggested, especially for weekends and peak periods like Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day.

Mooring Fees:
• $15/4 hours
• $25/night (4:00 pm–11:00 am)
• $35/24 hours
• $175 for 2008 Season Pass

The Season Pass offers unlimited mooring for your boat with the following restrictions:
• reservations required
• one reservation per week, during that week
• limited to two consecutive nights
• the pass is not available at Georges Island

Visitors can anchor off the islands at their own risk for free.
