The Boston Harbor Islands national park features 34 islands encompassing
1,600 acres and 35 miles of undeveloped ocean shoreline, all within 10
miles of downtown Boston. Featuring hiking trails, beaches, ranger-led
tours, camping, kayaking, boat cruises, nature walks and historic sites,
the number of islands, their proximity to a major metropolitan area and
their significant natural and cultural features create a resource that has
no parallel in the United States. For more information, call 617-223-8666
or visit Bostonharborislands.org.
