Thompson Island is all about groups, whether they’re building teams, testing their limits, or attending a wedding, conference, or other event. Here you’ll find Thompson Island Outward Bound, a non-profit educational organization that puts people in fun, challenging situations to help develop teamwork, compassion, and confidence. Activities include sailing, ropes courses, leadership training, and environmental exploration.

Individuals may visit Thompson Island on summer Sundays. Explore on your own or take a ranger-led tour. Boats leave from the EDIC Dock in South Boston connecting to Thompson and Spectacle Islands (cash fare only). Visit them both for a two-island adventure. Thompson Island Conference Center offers catered clambakes, company outings, parties, weddings, and meetings.
